What the crew needs to shoot this week

Send by Sunday · text thread or shared album

Two clips, that's it

Real job footage outperforms everything else we make. Two usable clips a week fills the whole gap.

  • 1 A panel — before and after The old crowded panel next to the finished one is the single best-performing shot in this trade. Even a phone photo pair works.
  • 2 Anything that looks bad Scorched breaker, melted outlet, rat's-nest wiring, a burned receptacle. Ugly is the content.

How to shoot it

Nobody needs to be a videographer. Five rules.

  • Hold the phone upright. Vertical. Nothing matters more than this.
  • 10–20 seconds is plenty. Short clips cut better than long ones.
  • Say what you're doing in one plain sentence while filming.
  • Get the customer's OK before filming inside a home. No faces, house numbers, or mail.
  • Send it same day to one place, or it dies in a camera roll.

Rest of the year

Committed cadence is roughly 10–11 pieces a week
September
Storm Season & Fall Prep
15 of 44 built
Highest-intent month of the quarter for generators and surge protection. Review-heavy on purpose — proof converts hardest against an urgent need.
October
Winter-Ready & Holiday Safety
0 of 44 built
Space heaters, holiday light loads, detector batteries tied to the Nov 1 time change. Eight review videos have no confirmed source — decision point ~Sept 20.

Open items

  • Gary Send four real customer reviews From PulseM. They drop straight into the existing card template — this unblocks four stills and starts the review-video fallback for October.
  • Gary One photo of the crew or a Love Thy Neighbor job Community and team posts are the highest-trust format we have and we have zero real photos to work from.
  • Crew Ten job clips across September Two a week. Panel swaps, generator installs, EV chargers, storm damage. Brief is at the top of this page.
  • Danielle Five TikTok posts before the month ends TikTok uploads can't be automated — the editor never renders. September has nothing scheduled there yet.
  • Danielle Delete the 13 stale YouTube drafts They carry "Free estimates · Trusted since 1984" burned into the footage. Publishing one would breach the compliance rule.
  • DirecTech Schedule the four finished cards Tree limb, outage restart, post-storm signs, fall service. Blocked only on folder access.
  • DirecTech Build the end-card signature 1.5 seconds: power-up sound, then a real voice saying "Craddock's. Love thy neighbor." Appended to every video from here on.
  • DirecTech Plan November and December The scope document stops at October. Needs themes and counts before the end of September.
